Born, Michael Thomas Furrey on May 12, 1977 outside of Columbus, Ohio. Mike grew-up and went to High School in Hilliard, Ohio. In High School, Mike was a letter winner in three sports. He played football, basketball and baseball. He chose to Walk-On the football team at The Ohio State University where he was a Buckeye for two years before transferring to Northern Iowa.

He met his wife, Koren, in the second grade although they would not realize they were meant to be until years later. They were married July 5, 2003 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Dublin, Ohio. They now have three children, Makayla Jean, Stone Jett and Kanon Jax.
